 Summer Half Term

Homework

Thank you for your continued support with holiday homework. We hope your child continues to enjoy carrying out these practical activities with you. This homework includes tasks that recap on work which has been carried out in the classroom as well as work to prepare them for the final theme 'Water'.

Your child can choose activities they would like to do from the following ideas. The tasks can easily be extended if you wish and space is provided for you to write down your child's comments where necessary. We would like your child to bring in anything from these activities to share with the class as we will be discussing them after the holiday. As always, we look forward to hearing the children's thoughts and findings!

Enjoy your holiday and have fun!

Objective (Aim):  To experiment and find objects that float on water and objects that sink under the water.

Activity:  During a bathtime or with a bowl of water, find objects from around the home that could be tested to see if they float or sink. Check with an adult that the objects collected are safe to go in the water first! Try and guess what may happen before you carry out the experiment. Draw a picture to show the objects that floated or sank.
